Admire the English Victorian-inspired architecture of Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque. Its design also features a blend of Moorish design influence and Malay elements. Take notice of the slender minarets that resemble the 19th century British clocktowers.
It’s not very nice to look, but walking on a walk ingested a different house and sea view is more interesting than the different, and it’s worth a walk. If it wasn’t for the businesses that were at night but the people who really lived here, I’m afraid it would be overwhelming.
I visited the Chew Jetty expecting to see something of the history of jetty life. I was a little underwhelmed. Lots of shops selling bits and pieces for tourists. No great views or cultural insights
