Overlooking the Straits of Johor, the Grand Palace of Johor has distinctive Anglo-Malay design elements, especially in its bright, bluish roof. Currently, only state banquets, royal functions, and invesitures are held in this grand palace.
It’s not very nice to look, but walking on a walk ingested a different house and sea view is more interesting than the different, and it’s worth a walk. If it wasn’t for the businesses that were at night but the people who really lived here, I’m afraid it would be overwhelming.
I visited the Chew Jetty expecting to see something of the history of jetty life. I was a little underwhelmed. Lots of shops selling bits and pieces for tourists. No great views or cultural insights
