Detailed carved images of Hindu deities fill the walls and ceilings of Sri Maha Mariamman Temple with the entrance of the temple itself featuring 228 deities. This temple is said to be one of the oldest Hindu temple in Malaysia.
It’s not very nice to look, but walking on a walk ingested a different house and sea view is more interesting than the different, and it’s worth a walk. If it wasn’t for the businesses that were at night but the people who really lived here, I’m afraid it would be overwhelming.
I visited the Chew Jetty expecting to see something of the history of jetty life. I was a little underwhelmed. Lots of shops selling bits and pieces for tourists. No great views or cultural insights
