With a 7 – 8 minutes drive into Kampung Teluk Gedung lies Pangkor Island’s Dutch Fort, the remains of a 17th century warehouse built for tin ore storage by the Dutch. This well-preserved historical site stands as a testament to Perak’s rich colonial heritage.

The Dutch Fort is also among the oldest in Malaysia, dating back to the 1670s. Other than the attraction itself, there are also small souvenir shops set up around the area, selling unique trinkets and souvenirs!

3. Floating Mosque Pangkor Island

8-9 minutes away:

Situated in Pangkor Island is Perak’s very first floating mosque – the al-Badr Seribu Selawat Mosque. The name Seribu Selawat was named in reference with the 1,000 prayers that were carved inside and outside of the walls and pillars of the mosque, making it one of the distinctive features of the mosque. The mosque is open to visitors which includes non-Muslims only during non-prayer times.

Take Note: Do kindly dress conservatively in modest and loose fitted clothes, when entering the mosque as a sign of respect; a Jubah (Thawb) is also available on loan if required. It is appropriate to take off your shoes when entering the prayer hall.
